Happy Friday everyone. Somehow this week dragged on and flew by all at the same time. Does that ever happen to you?
Some things that made me happy:
And, if you missed it, there was a hilarious photo making its way around the interwebs the other day of a little baby with fake eyebrows drawn on showing various expressions. It was so funny I had to do it with our little guy, and this was the result:
And winner winner chicken dinner for the fan share this week goes to . . . Shaneal from South Carolina who sent in this adorable picture of her 2-year-old during storytime at the library. (No I don’t choose winners from fan shares, but Shaneal was the only person to share this week, so that automatically makes her a winner.) 🙂
Thanks to Shaneal for sharing some happiness! Please keep it coming. Until next week…
Fridays on Raising Wild Things are Shiny, Happy, Sparkly, Feel-Good Fridays! Since parenting can sometimes suck the life out of me, I wanted to do these posts as reminders of the good, the great things that happened during the week amid all the crazy, exhausting, sometimes frustrating, sometimes maddening, sometimes head-exploding moments that seem to linger in my memory and can put me in a mommy funk. What makes you happy? Please share!

OhmyWord there is SO MUCH CUTE here my head is about to explode! The dinosaur snack table is adorbs! Sticker butt is pretty cute and the kid in the captain hat??? 😀
I love that they are playing with your toys, I have some of my son’s toys (he is now 17) that the little girls are playing with, but nothing from when I was little a million years ago. Probably the “toys” I played with are all toxic and full of lead paint and asbestos and that’s why I can’t remember anything. What was I just talking about???

A million years ago? Ha, ha. Thanks so much. I always enjoy putting these together at the end of every week. Helps me remember the good, happy moments.

That is awesome that the kids gave your toys new life. Sticker butt? All kinds of cuteness!! Love your backyard landscaping by the way. Happy Mother’s Day!!

I JUST had a 15 minute conversation with my kids about Cabbage Patch Kids on Monday!! How funny. They were so fascinated by the fact that they had names and came with birth certificates. They were floored that I remembered the names of both my CPKs (Edward Rex and Rosemary Janie) and that I remember the absolute pandamonium at the store during that time and the pure glee when my dad brought home Edward Rex. I cried and cried. My kids were totally freaked out by this fact. I really wish i had saved mine like you did! So cool to see another generation enjoy them.

It really is cool. We also have like 800 matchbox cars from when my husband and his brother were little. They probably have lead paint in them or something, lol.
