I’ve been out of town with the kiddos all week looking for a place for our family to live next year–We’ll be moving from CT to VA for my husband’s fellowship. And my husband is in another city at a conference for work. It’s been a nice week, because we’re able to stay with my parents at their B&B, but it’s also been a bit stressful. Good news is that I found a place for us to live and we’ve been approved for it, so that’s a big stress lifted off my shoulders. Phew!
With all of this going on, I completely spaced on asking for submissions for today’s SHSFGF post. My apologies. I’ll do better next week when I’m back to my regularly scheduled program.
In the meantime, here’s a whole lotta stuff that has made me happy this week . . .

Such great travelers on our 8-hour car trip

Our little slice of heaven at my parents’ B&B

Fun in the gardens feeding the koi fish, watering the flowers, and just being cute

Fun with the wagon and a good pic with all three wild things

Dinners on the patio, traveling dinosaurs, and the first watermelon of the season

The baby being cute . . . passed out on Gramma, riding Mommy’s wooden rocking horse, checking out the dog crate

Shadow family
Until next week . . .
Fridays on Raising Wild Things are Shiny, Happy, Sparkly, Feel-Good Fridays! Since parenting can sometimes suck the life out of me, I wanted to do these posts as reminders of the good, the great things that happened during the week amid all the crazy, exhausting, sometimes frustrating, sometimes maddening, sometimes head-exploding moments that seem to linger in my memory and can put me in a mommy funk. What makes you happy? Please share!

My SHSFGF began in one of the happiest of ways (well, after I cleaned up dog shit in the living room): One of my best friends/cousins had a baby. Unmedicated. I’m so proud of her, and I can’t wait to meet the newest addition to the family.

How very exciting! The baby part, not the dog shit part. 🙂 Congrats.
